I am one of many April filers who had to sit and wait while May, June, July, and now August filers were being approved. I couldn't sleep and was worried that MAYBE our petition wasn't as good and thoroughly prepared as I thought it was... maybe I missed something? What if we have an RFE?! Maybe that speeding ticket I got a few months back did something? I was on edge. I called my congressman, 2 weeks before my 5 month mark and told me that someone at USCIS informed him that our NOA2 will be approved shortly. I told him well our 5 month mark will be soon, he tells me to call him back if I don't receive anything. I wait... nothing. 5 months finally pass and instead of calling my congressman back I put in a service request since I am passed the 5 month mark. 3 days ago I receive an email from USCIS stating to wait 60 days for a decision or notice of action and that our case is still in process. I am mad at this point... 60 more days I have to wait?! Are they kidding me! Then today I check my email... nothing. I then check the case status at USCIS.gov... and there it was "Post Decision Activity" I-129F was approved on Sept. 29, 2011. We mailed you a notice blah blah blah..."

So April filers... please contact your US Congressman and or Senator (make sure hes not one of those rabid against ALL immigration types). Let him/her make a call for you to USCIS to inquire on your petition. If still not NOA2... wait till your 5 month mark is up and call USCIS to make a service request. They will ask you questions concerning your I-129F to verify you. They will then send an email to tell you what to expect next. Hopefully then your petition will get approved soon after.

Congratulations! I absolutely know how you feel! My husband and I filed in March and had to wait 167 days (!!!) for an approval! It was all he and I could do not to go crazy waiting. It was painful to see April, May, June, July and August filers getting approved ahead of us! But we sat tight and waited, and NOA2 finally came.

hi Maning.. I am so happy for you! Congratulations on that and thank you for the information! We are April Filer too but no NOA2 yet.. My fiance called USCIS monday morning and to our surprise the agent told him that we got RFE on the system.. but no hardcopy yet, the agent said the letter might be still on transit... We were so pissed because we are close to our 6 month mark and its only now that we will receive our RFE.. based on what i've been reading RFE might take 3-4 months only.. What's even worst is we don't have the hard copy yet and we couldn't prepare anything and it means 1 or 2 months waiting in vain again... so sad! :( Is calling to the Congressman really works? My fiance thinks its not gonna help at all... :help:
