Finally! We received notification on the website today that our petition had finally been approved, almost 5 months to the day VSC had received it (NOA1 date of May 2nd). It's wonderful! I was beginning to give up hope.

What is really great is Marina, Maria (my future 14 year old step-daughter) and I will be able to celebrate the news in 2 days when we meet in London.

To anyone waiting close to the processing time of 5 months, definitely call. I called on Tuesday, and lo and behold 2 days later received the notification. Funny how that worked. Oh, and the trick of not selecting either 1 for English or 2 for Spanish worked like a charm.

Have read that the process moves much quicker now. I hope so - still hoping Marina and Maria will be able to get here in time for Christmas.

I feel your excitement! We finally got our NOA2 today (April 25, 2011 NOA1) and I'm just RELIEVED! We did the same thing... wait till our 5 months was over the mark and called USCIS and put in a service request stating that our petition was pass the 5 month processing times. 3 days later we got an email stating that our case was still processing and to wait 60 days! Then today we check our case status online... we are finally approved! We didn't receive any email or text... our case status simply states that our I-129F was approved on Sept. 29, 2011 and that they mailed out blah blah blah...

Now time to relax a little until we have to prepare for our interview! Congrats again!!!

I called but I only got the machine. Does not picking a choice for english/spanish give you an human operator? Also how did you go about asking them. Sometimes with USCIS you gotta be careful how you put your words lol. Id love to get the NOA2 sometime this month so that we can hopefully get the process moving. We are like runners on the track waiting desperately for the gun shot and we can be off to the races. Everything is ready and in its place...just crossing fingers waiting =)
