Hello every one,

I got my packet 4 pretty soon whithin 8 business days and then i started to schedule the interview but never see the calendar. After i read the FAQs and I know that we have to pay the fee before we schedule interview. They give the options but i could not find anywhere i can do online and so i asked my fiance to call the phone no. they give but it did not work and then i tried myself and gave them the Visa Card No. but they said it is invalid. My fiace called the credit card company and was told that there is no problem for the credit card.

Can anyone tell me how did you make it?

Thanks a lot

Tracy

From what I have heard from others trying to book their interview is that you cannot make a payment until there are interview spots opened on the calendar. Check as often as you can, the interviews get grabbed up quickly. Good luck!

Thanks for the information Jean! Their information is so confusing as they said in the letter that we can pay the visa application fee on the day of interview by cash but also said on their website that we have to pay the fee before we can schedule the interview. I assumed that i could not see the calendar because i did not pay the fee and that is why we tried different ways to make a payment.

Hope i can see the opens soon. Tracy

They have changed that site since I booked mine. When I booked there was an option to get around paying online. I'm not sure that is there now. Even so, you will be happy to have paid before the interview. You won't have to carry the cash around Montreal and also it cuts down on a step at the interview making it go faster. I was happy to have paid when booking :-) . There are many people waiting for interviews, I hope that Montreal opens up some soon. There are other posts about Montreal and booking if you look through the Canada forum :-)

I just could not find the spot to click on or do anything online. they give very detailed instruction uder payment options but did not tell us where to do that: such like, select Scotia Bank... but there is nothing on their website. I tried telephone payment again today but get the same massage at the end "the card number you entered is invalid". It drives me crazy. I will check other posts. Thanks

I can't help you with the problems related to the site, but just wanted to add that IF you do end up paying on the day of the interview (don't know if that's still an option?) you have to pay in US cash- they won't accept anything else.

Actually pay at the spot on the interview day is my first choice but the problem is that they said we have to pay the fee before we schedule the interview. I have tried 2 days and never seen the calendar and so i guess the reason is that i have not paid the fee. But when i try to make a payment non of the options works.

My question here is: Can I book appointment without pay?

Thanks for help

When I scheduled my interview back in May, there was a roundabout way of scheduling an interview without paying the fee online. However, according to some VJers the site has changed recently, so I'm unsure of how you'd proceed. I'm pretty sure it's possible, though- the consulate must know that not everyone has a credit card. :/ That's just speculation though.

Montreal is notoriously backlogged and slow at releasing interview dates. Do you see something that says "there are currently no appointments available?" Because that's what everyone else is seeing too- you aren't seeing the calendar simply because they haven't released very many dates and they get snatched up really quickly. It's not because you haven't paid the fee. Some people have been checking the website for 2 months and still haven't been able to get an interview slot.

Also:

From what I have heard from others trying to book their interview is that you cannot make a payment until there are interview spots opened on the calendar. Check as often as you can, the interviews get grabbed up quickly. Good luck!

This is also a possibility which makes sense considering what I wrote above (that no one is currently able to view the calendar.)

Thank you very much for your information and i am not that frustrated now. I got the impression that I did not see the slot because i have not paid as i have been online whole day from Wednesday and refresh the webpage frequently and always see the same message. I will keep watching the site but won't stress myself out.

Hi guys! I too am one of the many people waiting for an interview to open up in Montreal. Thought I'd share some input on info I've read on VJ.

From my understanding, if you want to pay the fee online click on the "Fiance k1" option as the Trip Purpose. However if you want to pay in US dollars at the interview, click on "ready to schedule" when it asks for trip purpose.

That's all from the many posts I've read...I know a ton of people are waiting for interview dates to open up- you'll see the same calendar online once dates are available.

Hope that helps!
