I found an example I-94 at this link. Is this what yours look like also?

Yes, that's what mine looks like. And on the page that says "SAMPLE", my K1 visa is attached.

It certainly seems like I am teaching the lawyer. I had not known about VJ when we hired him and he handled our petition just fine. Unfortunately I paid him up front back then so we are just letting him take care of it now. :bonk:

My passport looks like the above image- it's stapled right next to my visa in my Canadian passport. Your lawyer does not seem very educated :/ It's common for people to hire lawyers only to learn that the lawyer didn't tell them anything they can't find out themselves- or worse, give them false information. On the day of my interview I sat outside the Montreal consulate chatting with a fellow who was there for a fiance visa and his lawyer had told him he'd get his visa on the same day of the interview! I told him his lawyer was wrong. I hated to say it because he obviously spent a lot of money on it and did not seem very familiar with the process but the guy had been seriously misled and didn't even seem to have all the right paperwork. :(

Do keep checking back here to see if you're going about things the right way- although we're not lawyers our collective experiences are very helpful :) So are the guides.

Also - just a side note, when you travel with your AP, you'll have to fill out another I-94 when you cross again.

Your lawyer may be referring to people people who AOS from being visitors and not when they cross as a K1? Just giving him the benefit of the doubt.
