^ Congrats on your recent wedding (saw on your sig it was the 3rd :) ) Though I can't say I know exactly how you guys feel, since I'm the American one in this couple XD I know I would probably be feeling the same way if I were moving to Australia instead of him moving here. He did get homesick especially at first when he spent the year here, but his parents were able to visit which made it better for him :)

I've just started the process so I'd love any tips or advice you guys would have, got my NOA1 on the 4th, anything I should ask him to do while we wait, or anything I must do (besides collecting evidence of ongoing relationship and my paystubs?) :)

Aw, thanks :) lol, i should probably take both of those ticker things off of my profile now since both events have passed i guess

Congrats on your noa1!!

Finally time for AOS.......

12/07/11 Sent AOS package

12/09/11 AOS package delivered

Nothing special to report :P Don't work at the moment (my job was a temp, supposed to be hired on but they were being lax about it) so sitting around at home.

Friend visiting December 2nd for 12 days so I'm REALLY excited about that. Hoping the snow stays away so that her plane can get here okay and so we can drive around some of the smaller towns (that probably wouldn't be plowed too well).

Yeah.. umm my dogs are okay. My sister is knocked up :P (10 weeks now). Mum and dad are okay. Brother is typical (why are boys so distant?). Still not talking to MIL. Older SIL is now engaged.

Same old same old :P

Hello to all the fellow Australians here

Reading about other Australian K1ers does help to ease the frustration of waiting for our NOA2, we have been waiting now for 156 days.

Just knowing that others understand, friends and family do not totally relate, unless you go through this process, how could you begin to?

How I tackle the seemingly endless wait is, to keep really busy, I try to fill my days with positive things and good friends. Remembering to take good care of myself and take time out for me, stop and breathe.... laugh and be glad I am alive.

Talking to my man on Skype each day, what would we do without that, I almost feel like I am home!

How fortunate are we all, here on VJ, to have found the love we have in another, a love worth all this waiting and frustration. We all are truly blessed as, someday we will be able to look back on this and think how small a time this K1 process was, in comparison to the years we have together, the rest of our lives.

Congratulations to all those who have your NOA2 or Visa approvals. "Keep fighting the fine fight" to all those who are waiting for the elusive, yet no doubt one day obtainable NOA2. We will survive, go Australia!! :D

Hi Georgiabound! Yes I agree, I don't know what I would have done had I not found Visajourney, not only does it help to talk to people that have been through it and who have advice, but it helps to be able to come and talk to others who know what its like to miss our loves...and have them be half a world away. Skype is also wonderful XD without that and MSN video chat I'd be going crazy. I'm already feeling the pain and longing, and its only been a little less than 2 months...I thought keeping busy with work and the visa and the wedding planning would be enough to keep it at bay for a little while but no x.x He lived with me for a year and it was the best year of my life, I just miss everything about him and sometimes break down, but he is always reminding me that soon we will be together and become husband and wife, and I know he's right! The NOA2 wait is horrible though and I have a long way to go lol

I hope you get yours soon! Looking like it should be due any time now!

YAY!! Did you apply for AP as well? Check your EAD when you get it to see if it has "serves as I-512 Advanced Parole" (or words to that effect).
