Hey Guys. Hope your all well.

Finally got my Biometrics appointment letter last week.

But i have a Question

I got a letter in the mail today Re: Request for initial Evidence

It said the following:

"Submit a complete federal income tax return submitted to the Internal revenue service (IRS) from the petitioner/sponsor on form I-864, affidavit of support, for the most recent tax year."

Im trying to work out what they exactly need cause we sent my wife's W-2 Form but I'm guessing we have missed out something.

Can someone help me? please

You need to send the actual tax form. The w2 is basically the same as our PAYG forms that we get from our employer back home. They need the 1040 which is the actual form where you declare your taxes and deductions and stuff.

I would call the IRS and request tax return transcripts. No need to worry about w2's etc?

Mmmmm, my husband and i found it really overwhelming at first aswell but this site is amazing!

It's very overwhelming.. And at times it gets so frustrating, I really am proud of myself and my wife for getting through it all. We are coming to the end of the process now and by the time it's done we will be around 1yr from start to 'Green Card' . This site has provided so much information I don't know what I would have done if I didn't accidentally find it.. Ha
