Trying to find out for sure if my wife can go and do her medical with only a copy of the NOA 2 and the MNL#? Try to be ready for just the interview and then flight here.

My suggestion is pay all the fees the VI bill and the AOS bill then they going to request all you forms for the AOS and the IV once that case is completed then go do the medical,cause lately everyone has been waiting 3-4 weeks for a interview after your case is completed at NVC....hope that helps...Good Luck :thumbs:

Make sure to fill out and print the Online Registration Form. Also, thoroughly review this section http://www.slec.ph/us-visa-applicants.shtml

03/22/11 - $420.00 check cleared bank

03/24/11 - Rec'd NOA1 via regular mail

*NVC JOURNEY* - 28 days - from case # assigned to SIF

07/20/11 - NVC Case # Assigned :-) yay!

07/23/11 - Emailed DS3032 - accepted 07/27/11

07/26/11 - $88.00 AOS fee paid/print barcode 7/29

honestly, i am confused. few dyas ago, somebody said "NO appt letter, NO medical". and others are saying, "Yes, you can have your medical without the appt. letter". haaay...

slec site says under Required Docs:

appt letter from embassy/instruction letter from nvc

2 photocopies of appt letter/instruction letter

wheeeew!!! headbonk.gif this journey is really driving me crazy...

You went to the source and got the right answer. Congratulations! It's generally not an advantage to get the medical early in Manila, as they tend to issue the visas with an expiration 6 months from the medical instead of from the visa issue date.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Sorry for the confusion. Those instructions I posted above, were for CR1/Immigrant visa petition. I see you're filling K1 and I'm not sure if the same process apply.

When my hubby did his "advanced medical" at St. Lukes on Aug. 15/16, all he provided were the required documents listed on SLEC website, SLEC online registration form, copy of NOA2 and NVC "Instruction" Letter. This is the letter with MNL case number, IIN, etc. As listed on our timeline below, we received our "appointment letter" on 08/30/11. Yet, he completed medical on 08/15-16/2011.
