I had my interview last September 19 and everything went fine. The CO even told me "welcome to the United States of America" and when I went to the last processing area the Filipino guy told me that my VISA will just be delivered at home. It's been 10 days now so last two days I emailed the embassy and inquiring about my VISA and this was the response I got from them "The case is currently under review by a consular officer. Once the review is completed, we will notify you." Now I am bit worried about not getting my VISA at all, is there anybody in here got the same response and do I really need to get worried? Please help...

Hi Smirky,

We have the same situation. I remember the CO also told me Welcome to United States of America as well after saying Congratulation, your visa is approved!.

Then on the 7th day I emailed about my visa and received the same thing..."The case is currently under review by a consular officer. Once the review is completed, we will notify you." So I called the embassy and they told me the visa is approved for issuance but the CO still reviewing it and there is no note why.

I was interviewed on Sept. 12 by the way.

So did you receive your VISA as of this moment? You think we need to worry about this?

So far no visa still. We tried to call earlier but we can't connect probably because there's a lot of people calling for their re-schedule interview.

Check the link, that's the thread I made, you can read the other people comments.

We are in the same boat kinda, although we didn't get the same e-mail reply from the embassy, but I'm still worried and stressed over this, because my fiance' has already booked me a flight. I had my interview on September 15 and was approved. I had sent them an e-mail and they replied saying, "We are pleased to inform you that a fiancée (K1) nonimmigrant visa was issued to you on September 21, 2011. The visa packet will be delivered to your designated address by guaranteed courier service within 7 to 10 working days." A friend I met at the interview got the same reply from them, and her visa was sitting at the 2GO branch waiting for her to pick it up since September 26, 2011. I've been calling the embassy call center, but they got no update yet. Although I'm worried and stressed, but it still makes me feel a little better to be able to share it with people who are in the same situation. Let's just pray we'll get it soon.

I also have a friend here who had waited for her visa to be delivered only to find out that it was already at 2go so she took the chance of picking up it there and shoot it was there few days ago and never been delivered at home. i guess 2go courier is not that efficient as other courier, better check your visa at the nearest 2go branch in your place.

In my friend's case, she was the one acting in negligence. She opted to pick up her visa at a 2GO branch rather than having it delivered at home, but she didn't insert her sim card, so obviously she didn't get no text message from 2GO. Me, on the other hand, I had been calling the embassy call center, as well as 2GO, since Sept. 29. I also sent a Feedback at the ustraveldocs Web site and they had instructed me to call up 2GO so I called up 2GO Cebu & Manila hotlines yesterday and both said it wasn't forwarded to them yet. But past 11AM yesterday, Oct. 1, 2GO delivery called me up at my home phone to ask for directions. Thank GOD I have my visa now.
