I just want to ask if you had your NBI Clearance dated March 4, 2011 and your Interview date is on October 20, 2011 is my NBI clearance need to be updated? need some answer thanks

as long as its still valid, you will be fine.

A NBI Clearance is valid for 1 year so yours is fine.

I wouldn't take that chance if I were you. I was with my fiance during the interview @ the USEM and I overheard a CO asking the

benficiary if she had a more updated NBI clearance. It is up to you, but just for peace of mind, I would get an updated NBI clearance.

i would suggest to get an updated one... i had my interview last April 2011 and my NBI clearance is just 4 months old...but i decided to have a new one... i don't wanna take chances, id rather have peace of mind...

NBI CLEARANCE. Applicants aged 16 years and older must have a valid Record Clearance for Travel Abroad Purposes from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). Clearances should be in the applicant’s current name, birth certificate name, maiden name and any aliases or nicknames used, including different spellings you have used of those names. For immigration purposes, an NBI clearance is valid for one (1) year from the date it was issued. The NBI web site is http://www.nbi.gov.ph/.

I got my NBI clearance for travel to the US, September 2010 then used it for my interview, April 2011.

NBI is valid for a year, thats true. It's up to you, but for an interview I have always heard it is better to have one thats no more than 6 months old. The newer the better. Jim.
