DId you send the police clearance certifcate and the passport office clearance certificate..

IF you send both of them....you have to call NVC......and tell them about it...theirs some cases here in VJ......where they had to talk to a supervisor, to make them understand what we are trying to convey.

you can request NVC about it.......i mean you can tell them that you will submit it during interview....

yes instructions for ""your Name".....is missing document and it means the documents mentioned after that needs to be send to the NVC.

you should go ahead and get your passport clearance certificate today itself...or earliest possible

so that you will be able to mail that to NVC if they says that you need to send it now

All Indian Consulates require just the Passport Police Clearance Certificate. They don't care for the Local Police Clearance Certificate (I submitted it and NVC didn't even mention that in the list of document in my Interview latter). You will have to get the Passport Poline Clearance Certificate and submit to NVC. NVC sometimes allows you to submit it at interview - so you can send a reply to the checklist (with a copy of the Cover letter with bar code) a letter requesting them to permit you to submit this at interview and meanwhile get this - it takes time.

Some passport offices need the Local Police Clearance Certificate to issue their Passport Police Clearance Certificate. There are many threads on this topic in which we shared this information in July/ August.

Thank you very much NavyK,

I just e-mailed to NVC about that,

They reply me like

"Applicants over age 16 whose Indian passports were issued more than six months previous to visa application must obtain a police clearance from the District Police Office serving the applicant's place of residence.

Indian passport holders applying for visas outside India should obtain a statement from their local embassy or consulate confirming they have no criminal record.

Non-Indian IV applicants residing in India should obtain police certificates from the District Police Station serving their area of residence.

Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) applicants applying outside India.

For additional information regarding Indian police certificates please visit the following website:
