Hello to everyone here on VJ. I have something that is confusing to me. When I filed the I-130 for my wife, I used her married name in the application. All was approved and sent to the NVC. Ok so now I get an email from NVC that has our case number and that they have received all documents from USCIS for further processing. So when I open the document from NVC, they are using my wife's single name not her married name as I put in the I-130 application. Only line number 7 of the I-130 asks for other names used including maiden name. I'm worried about this as USCIS has used her married name, but the NVC is using her single name. Don't want any problems with this as you know paperwork with the government has to be right. Thanks for reading.

Better call NVC and ask about it. With my case USCIS had approved my petition under my maiden name and when it reached NVC my husband called about it and the NVC representative said that they'll issue the visa under the name that's on the passport. We didn't even bother to write a letter to NVC about the name change because my maiden name is indicated on the form too under [Alias used (if married, write maiden name)] But to clear things out I suggest you give them a call, just to be sure. Good luck!
