Generally how long does it take for the Sdyney US Embassy to send the passport and visa back? I have the interview on the 11 october and hoping to fly on the 18th. Is that enough time?

Well if everything is in order then interview Tuesday 11th you should get visa same week if not the next but I would not book flights unless you can change them till I had visa in hand.

I received mine about 4-5 days later... also during the interview they ask you when your flights are so assume they will try and accommodate your needs when possible. You're cutting it a bit fine but I think you should be ok.

i wouldnt book until you had it in your hand... gc955 is still waiting and its been over 14 days for him... better be safe then sorry so wait

sydney embassy usually send it back and takes 5 working days

I got mine the momday after my interview. the tracking got activated on the friday night though

How do you know if you need to bring the self addressed prepaid envelope to the interview? This is what my p4 advised me to bring,

must bring the following to the visa interview:

* Any original documents that were requested by the NVC but were not submitted

to the NVC

* The medical examination results if not submitted to the Embassy/Consulate by

the physician

* The correct size and number of photographs

* Valid passport for all traveling applicants

Its on the US Embassy Canberra and/or Consulate Sydney website.

I don't remember exactly...but I dont think it was written anywhere in what I was sent either....but you will definitely need it. You need a 3kg Platinum or Express Post satchel. I got the Platinum which cost about $17 I think.

Your P4 document should have had it ticked... As well as the information about the fee.
