I came to the US almost 2 years ago via a K1 visa. My husband and I are doing great and it's obviously time to renew my green card.

We have no problem as far as joint tax returns, health insurance, bank accounts, phone bills, etc.

We'd just moved into a house 5 months ago which was unfortunately destroyed in the recent flooding across Pennsylvania and New York. Since it was a federal emergency we were granted a sum of money to replace our belongings and move to a new home. It has both of our names on it, which I would consider to be good relationship evidence seeing as we went through this disaster together - but would it set off a big red flag to the USCIS? That an immigrant and her husband were granted Federal disaster relief? Because we have to go through all of the sponsorship coming over to try to guarantee the USCIS that we're NOT going to be a burden on the state made me wonder, but federal disasters cannot be helped - Should I include this or would it lessen my chances of getting a 10 year green card?

Sorry for any poor wording on this, naturally this disaster happens right as I'm due for renewal..

I don't see how a national disaster and getting a federal disaster relief can impact your GC renewal. USCIS have nothing to do with that. Are you worried that you obtained a federal benefit? This would not apply as your were granted a benefit based on the Act of God and have not requested it. I don't think you should worry about that situation. And then GC renewal is for removing conditions, so you would need evidence of your marriage, which seems like you have.

It is not a means tested benefit. No worries. Good evidence. Use it.
