If my fiance is paying in baht and it's supposed to be 350 dollars, does he just pay the exchange rate of that day?

And which post office in Chiang Mai can he go to?

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

From reading Thailand Post Office website it can be any post office in Bangkok and 258 post offices nationwide. You cannot pay at all post offices. If there are more then one in Chiang Mai I would try going to the main one if they have one. Also on the website it has a phone number and an email address. I would try one of those to ask. Also look at the pdf on their website, it is say $1 = 33 baht so $350 = 11550 baht. I am not sure how old that pdf is so there could be an updated one with different prices listed. Another option to pay is make sure you are a day or two in Bangkok before your interview date and pay then and then bring the receipt to the interview. Hopefully somebody who lived in Chiang Mai before knows a better answer then I. Good luck

Nik you must be bored.

He should know he cant choose an exchange rate from some more convienient time. He pays the rate on the day he pays just like anyone else. The post office does the math & he hands them the money.

All he has to do is enter a post office. If they dont provide the service they will direct him to the right one.
