If applicant is I-130/I-485 and has an EAD card in hand, and is trying to obtain a SSN # by comnpleting SS-5

Question 5: ("Citizenship") - would applicant check "Legal Alien Allowed to Work"?

I am assuming this is the right choice. Any others with experience on this?

Applied for SSN 9.28.11 / SSN Card Received 10.3.11 (5 Days Processing Time)

Approved in person I-485 Interview 10.14.11 (81 Days from start of process)

Thanks for the reply. It is obvious that the EAD gives "authorized to work" the question was more so if she was on an overstay status while her I-485 was pending then I was not sure if it was "Other".

Anyhow we went and she got letter saying she will get SSN in 2 weeks.
