need a job..help

..so after the whole immigration process im now here on IR1 visa.....and now i need a job, my ssn hasnt arrived yet but i know it will, so im trying to look for a job here in orange county california and places near it, fullerton, brea, anaheim,garden grove etc......anybody have idea where should i apply, or thers hiring going on,..btw..im a nurse....but.im not limiting myself to nurse jobs...any input will be appreciated..thanks so much

Hi. I looked up your timeline and I can say that it was indeed a long visajourney before you finally set foot in the US. I admire your patience and perseverance and how you kept your sanity throughout the entire process.

Have you tried browsing through the Forums column under "Finding Work in America"? Perhaps a lot of VJs will help you there. And I guess you won't find it hard to land a job in the US since you're a nurse. Have passed NCLEX already?

With your experience, I would make a flier and post it in the local supermarkets. It would say "Experienced nurse, available to provide in home private duty care." That's if you already tried the regular route like Hospital, Nursing Homes and Clinics.

i have friends in anaheim who are also nurses and they said some hospitals in the area are hiring. if you're NCLEX-RN passer it shouldn't be hard getting an RN post. best thing to do i guess is you pay these hospitals' HR offices a visit and check what they're offering.
