I dont think it'll be a big issue. I met my hubby for the very first time in person and we decided to get married. Due to distance and his busy works, it was difficult for him to go back and forth. And we ended up waiting for interview date as our case is complete at NVC. Just keep your faith and everything will be just fine yes.gif

Honestly a lot will hinge on your Embassy. In some countries it's not a problem but in other countries it throws up a huge Red Flag.

I had only known my wife for 3 months when we met in person for the first time and we got married within a few days of that first meeting. Our process to get her here was without any problems and took about 9 months from initial filing to her plane landing in Chicago.

You really want to find someone with experience at your Embassy though.

what means red flag?

Red Flag is a term used to indicate a Warning Sign of potential Visa Fraud. Usually things that are not within the cultural norm for your country will cause Red Flags. They vary by country.

I have a close friend chatted with this guy for some months and they agreed to get married right away. The guy wasn't doing very well financially so he can't afford to visit her in the PI multiple times. What they agreed? get married. Everything was ready when the guy came here. All he had to do is to show his a$$ here and say "I do". He stayed for 3 weeks in my girls house, guy filed for my friends spousal visa right after he left PI. It's been 2.5 yrs since my friend has left for WA.

I could call that marrying the first time of meeting. Is your case similar?

I have a close friend chatted with this guy from Indian reservation guy of WA for some months and they agreed to get married right away. The guy wasn't doing very well financially so he can't afford to visit her in the PI multiple times. Besides, my friend is the first one to get married in her family so everyone must be present when it happens. What they agreed? Get married. Everything was ready when the guy came here. Papers, minister, church, flowers, inivation- name it. All he had to do is to show his a$$ here and say "I do". He stayed for 3 weeks in my girls house, guy filed for my friends spousal visa right after he left PI. It's been 2.5 yrs since my friend has left for WA.

I could call that marrying the first time of meeting. Is your case kinda similar why it had to happen?

Just make sure you got all the evidence is ready.

Hi Walid. I don't have experience with the embassy in Tunisia yet but I will on October 24th. I've worried about this sometimes too. I met my husband on facebook in January 2010 when we added each other as friends for a game. We spent many hours per day talking on the webcam, fell in love and knew we were meant for each other. After 9 months I flew to Italy (where he was living at the time) to meet him in person. Once I got there we knew that we wanted to get married right away. We went to Tunisia to visit his mother and got married on our last day in Tunisia, October 16, 2010. We spent 2 more days in Italy and then I had to come home. I haven't been able to go back to visit since then due to lack of money but we still talk on the webcam every day. Our interview is coming up on October 24th. I'll let you know how everything goes. :)

It all depends on the embassy.. Just make sure you have adequate evidence of a bonafide union and you should be fine.Goodluck
