Hi VJ folks,

My hubby will send N400 application basing on 3-year case next month. He changed his name thru court several months ago, and everything now goes with his new legal name except green card and his foreign passport. We plan to travel internationally shortly after sending N400 application off, but will make sure we won't miss any of notice or appointment. Here are some questions we have, and hope you guys can help us out:

1. When we send N400 application with his new legal name on everything else except the green card, is there any potential problem? We will include the court order regarding to name change with the package.

2. With our plan of travel internationally shortly after the N400 application sent off, does he have any problem at the airport using his old name on his green card as well as his foreign passport?

3. Any potential issue at the interview for him if he has an international trip right after biometrics and before the interview?

Thanks a lot of your input folks

if you have foreign passport, you must purchase the air line tickets in the same name to match the passport, coming back home to the united states at the poe-- ,you need your permanent resident card, and your marriage certificate to show name change if asked once thay swipe your green card your picture shows up on the screen with all your information,if you traval before then you have to change your n-400. trips made outside of the united states dates,if you go after the interview be on the look out for the oath ceremoney date you don't want to miss that. REMEMBER THE NAME ON THE PASSPORT, MUST BE THE SAME NAME ON THE AIRLINE TICKETS THAY MUST MATCH,good luck what ever you do
