When my lawyer fill out my I-130 on marriage day, he used the day that I got the marriage certificate.

So here is my question:

When they ask for Date of Marriage, do you put the day you did the ceremony or the day they issue you the marriage certificate?

Because on my DS-230 I put the day I did ceremony.. but when the lawyere fill out the I-130 he put the date of the marriage certificate.

So when it come to interview which day will my wife said we get married???

I m confused

if the nvc will noticed that then you have to wait for rfe..but actually you have to put tha day of your wedding ceremony and not the date you get your mc.

the day of your marriage ceremoney, not the date of your certificate,it should have two dates on it.some places send your certificate to the state capital to get it stamped and put on record, takes about a week.

I would make it clear to the CO that you signed the MC on that date and the wedding ceremony on the other date. My wife and I were worried about the same thing but we decided to provide the answer that way. The CO never asked for that question to my wife though.
