Cambodia police report

I'm very confused. Actually we're filing in VN, but my fiancee lived in Cambodia for a while. So we need a police report from foreign countries, but it also says on the website that some countries don't have police reports. When I use the link provided by the consulate:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9011

to look up Cambodia, that section is very vague. So does anybody know if Cambodia is one of those countries that doesn't require a police report? Or if it does, how do we get one? Especially if she lived in a house where the landlord didn't report her to the authorities and refuses to sign anything.

Thanks,

Such an old topic, but here is the answer to this one. In Cambodia...though provinces issue some police certificates, it is only the MFA who can give the official stamp of approval In Cambodia for

Immigration proceedings. It is located in Phnom Penh.....So Yes..Police Certificates are required in Cambodia, Hope that helps all who have read this..and not replied..or still wondering.

Hello,

Reviving an old thread cos i'm in a similar situation.

I lived four years in Cambodia but i left over a year ago. I understand the Ministry in Phnom Penh issues the police certificate but does anyone know what the procedure - if there is one - would be for people no longer living in Cambodia?

Alternatively, given that i don't live in Cambodia anymore and it is therefore very difficult for me to arrange the police certificate, would it be ok for me to go to the interview at the Consulate without this certificate? Anyone done that?

Many thanks.
