@ Jenkatx........ Thank you! You are the best, quick response. I haven't been for christmas since I left there back in 1997 for Houston. Im gonna need a lot of support and help. Thanks for VJ. I also plan to go during her interview, perhaps they wont let me in at least I'm there in case of any question.

I will be sending my petition off before the month ends. I heard filing in Fall is better than summer. How true is that?

Yes, VJ is very helpful. I went for the interview as well, I really do think it made a difference. They won't let you in, but just let them know you are there supporting her. I have never heard that a certain time of the year is any better. Our petition was received October 26, 2010. Our interview was September 9, 2011...

5-6months is pushing it I would say on a smoth sail meaning no RFE, No additional name checks, no AP things like that you are looking at minimum 7months. When I filed to POE was 7months we had one hold up along the way which was it was in additional checks at the NVC for 2weeks after it arrived there...other than that it was smooth sailing for us but also keep in mind the service centers were approving (NOA2) in like 2months or so but the embassy was giving nterview dates 4 months out from the time they notified you of the interview date. Now days it is vice versa looks as if the service centers are taking about 4months to approve(NOA2) and Lagos is giving out interview dates about 2months or so out from the time they notify you of the interview date so really there is no rhyme or reason. But I dont think 5-6months is realistic I would say at least 7months....Good luck to you
