My hubby and I went to his interview today. Everything was going so well, the people were very nice, the immigration officer was very kind and was very patient while my husband was talking to him in English. However, before my hubby can get his visa, we need a criminal report from Croatia because my husband worked in Croatia for more then 6 months. It is a minor setback, but it can be done. I emailed my lawyer in the states, and asked her, why didnt she know that he would need this because we provided them with my husband employment history? I was disappointed, but other then that everything went well, thank God. As soon as we get this tomorrow, we are to call the embassy again and schedule another appointment. Hopefully, we wont wait too long!!!!

I read a lot of stories about the lawyers making minor mistakes that never expected from them. It is clearly specified that a police certificate is required from all places that resides for more than 6 months. A qualified lawyer shouldn’t miss this. Anyways act quickly and get the certificate so that it will not take too long. Beside that Congratulations on the well done interview.
