USPS wrong address or not

So we mailed our AOS packet last saturday morning and we received a letter today from USPS and the address that they put in is:

Shipped to:

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY

CITIZENSHIP AND IMMIGRATION SERVICES

PO BOX 805887

CHICAGO IL 60680-4187

What the Heck??? 4187?..i am sure i put in 4120 not 4187! geezzz..what will happen now....

I called the USPS as soon as we got this letter and they said that 4187 is the correct address and they gave me 100 percent assurance that USCIS will receive the packet today..they said i can track it online..

I tried to track it but there's no response yet..I will try to track it again tonight..

I tried to track it but there's no response yet..I will try to track it again tonight..

I would not worry to much as the first code is correct and hey if the postie does not know where Homeland security is than I am worried about US mail lol don't worry keep an eye on tracking tonight or tomorrow morning

Well technically the address should be:

For USPS:

For courier/express delivery:

131 South Dearborn - 3rd Floor

Chicago, IL 60603-5517

The last 4 digits of the zip+4 relate to the box location. At least they got it there considering you only had the PO Box, Town and state exactly correct.

don't worry, the system automatically picks out the right address. the last 4 number of the zip code usually means until what number that area could be in, as long as you have the first 5 right its fine. nothing to worry about :)

Well technically the address should be:

For USPS:

The last 4 digits of the zip+4 relate to the box location. At least they got it there considering you only had the PO Box, Town and state exactly correct.

Yeah, But they told me it will be surely delivered in USCIS chicago lockbox, the lady said their system corrected it,so they followed what is in their system (duhh!?)yeah right! that is why instead of 4120 they put in 4187...I just hope my packet will be sent safe as we really urgently need to finish my AOS coz we will be moving to South Korea on January. :(
