Hello. My fiancé successfully made it to the USA on his K1 visa!! I remember when filling out the paperwork to hand into the embassy it had asked for either a SS# or an A# and at that point he didn't have either. When we were going through immigrations and the man opened the packet I noticed the embassy had filled in the A# with a red pen. We were never given this number, or where we and just didn't realize it? Now we are about to get married and are starting on the I-145 and it asks for the A#. I e-mailed the embassy to see if they still had the number and they don't. Who would we contact to get this number? Thank You.

What form are you filling out? I-485 (adjustment of status) his A number in on his visa and also on your NOA1 top right corner near his name. His SSN number he has to apply for approx 3 weeks after arriving so he is in the system and he will then get a SS number.
