Seriously, what is he hurting you? I am pretty sure poster was not posting this information for you personally.

I agree jenkatx! It seems some VJ members have nothing but time on their hands to beat the ones down, or criticize others. Thanks again S_R for caring for the Nigerians on this site. As a VJ member, I appreciate your comments and information. Keep the information coming.

Thanks Dear..

I will always share ANY info i find pertinent to this process. 9months is a long time and to have to repeat the process when it could be avoided isn't fair.I normally go back to the Vj timeline once a week to look at those who are still waiting for their NOA2's since 2010 and my heart bleeds. It's a privilege to be approved in record time but its even more of a blessing when we inform those coming behind us of the pitfalls to avoid in this whole maze.

Thanks again. Yes, those of us who have been in this process too long and understand the pain and suffering can understand your concerns and deeply appreciate your inputs and information.

It is only appropriate to care for those who come in later, with no idea what they are getting themselves into or have any clue as to what is ahead for us to share with them what we know to be facts.

Thanks again. Many of us here on VJ appreciate the informative information you post. Please keep them coming!

Why is ur ticker counting down to NOA3? Just curious as to what is NOA3? :)

There is no such thing as NOA1, NOA2, NOA3, etc. NOA stands for "notice of Action" which is what ALL the correspondence is called. The FIRST notice of action one usually gets is a RECEIPT, which many here refer to as NOA1. It is a receipt.

IF you did everything right right the 2nd notice of action you should receive is an APPROVAL. Often called the NOA2.

IF you get an RFE then the RFE is the NOA2 and the next one, NOA3 is hoepfully yhr approval. You will also receive Notices of Action for every other benefit you file for or pay for in the form of a reciept at minimum.

NOA1, NOA2 are simply "VJ lingo"

I hear so many different things about interviews in Lagos. For example One CO asked the interviewee why hadn't they done the introduction? So I am just confused as to what they want. Its like damned if you do and damned if you don't.

They are trying to trip you up usually. I have heard they often tell you the visa is approved, go away for a minute, come back then ask that or whether they had paid bride prize yet. Then they will say oops sorry, start over again with CR1!

You got it right! It is like damned if you do and damned if you don't. It is like Russian roulette, or winning the lotto...getting a visa from Nigeria is almost impossible. It all depends on the mood of the CO and as I have been informed, what their gut feeling tells them that day.

So when they say that about 95% of K1 visa's are approved, does that mean the remaining 5% of denials mainly come from Naija Lol...ugh

According to statistics here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/statistics/nivstats/nivstats_4582.html

30999/32288 K-1s in 2010 were approved the first time through (96%). 979 succeeded on appeal. Only 301 were rejected.
