My wife was not given a visa after her interview. The consulate officer recommended our visa application be reviewed for revocation. This happened in August, 2011 in Nigeria. What do we do next? I am absolutely fed up with all these drama from USCIS

It is now past 1 month. We have heard nothing. Please advise

Ours was sent back in May 16th 2011 and I did not hear from them until June 29th. We are still under review they said I should wait 120 days its been over 60 so I am waiting it out. After they send me an NOIR (notice of intent to revoke then I can send in documents to show that I am in a bonafide marriage.

Our K1 was denied back in July and the NVC and USCIS say they have not received it back from the embassy yet. It takes time for them to process the returned petition and for them to send you the letter. Keep calling your USCIS and request an update periodically.

Good luck.

Nigeria can be slow at returning petitions, sometimes taking months to send them back ( even if they claim it is already sent back , honesty is a requirement for them ) Once back you will get a letter notifying you it has returned and that they will review it in the next 120 days. In the mean time gather proof that your relationship is real so that it will be ready should they send you a notice of denial rather than reaffirm it.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Well said NigeriaorBust. As you know our petition is still MIA and my fiance's interview was in July. According to the US Embassy in Lagos, it was sent back, but no one in NVC or USCIS has an clue where it is...

It is a great time to make copies and gather all the proof needed.
