I certainly don't want to "condemn" alternatives, I just don't want to tilt the game so that they look better.

I suspect when you say "condemn" you really mean-fail to throw lots of money at it hoping something will develop.

Nope not what I meant at all. Oil gets money thrown their way too and still looks bad.

Still have seen no subsidies that the oil company gets from the Feds. Just tax allowances that ALL industries. Remove all tax allowances from all industries but don't just hit one industry. An industry that hires and employs more than most do and pays probably more taxes than most.

Eyes actually need to be open, to be able to call a spade a spade. Until then....incorrigible.

Wonder what the subsidies (as you put it) would tally to if we compared it on a percentage basis.

Such as the amount of Subsidies oil gets compared to the energy they produce, compared to GREEN energy and the energy contribution it produces for the nation.

Let's look at those numbers.

Still see no subsidies that oil gets that ANY business gets. Tax deductions ARE NOT a subsidy. I know many morons and idiots think they are but they are not. Get rid of tax subsidies then get rid of them all for all businesses.

http://www.cato-at-liberty.org/how-large-are-federal-oil-subsidies/

Quantifying the national security costs associated with ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of foreign oil is difficult. The Congressional Research Service estimated in 1997 that those costs may be anywhere between $0.5-65 billion, or 1.5 cents to 30 cents per gallon for motor fuel from the Persian Gulf. Agreement about the extent of the military’s “oil mission” is difficult because military and foreign policy expenditures are generally tasked with multiple missions and objectives, and oil security is simply one mission of many. Analysts disagree about how to divide those missions into budgetary terms.

Do you think using our military to protect oil delivery is using Federal tax money? Or it's just some type of tax break?
