I filed for AOS in Sept . I received my NOA1 on sept 12 . Does that NOA1 cover all three petitions ( I-485) , ( I-765) and ( I-131) , or do the USCIS send out a NOA1 for each petition . I appreciate any replies since I am not too clear on this .

Secondly --approximately how long after the NOA1 do they send out the letter to do the Boimetrics ? Thanks .

We received 4 separate NOA1s in 4 separate envelopes, each with a different tracking number.

How long biometrics takes afterwards varies depending on how backed up or not backed up your local office is. Some people receive their notice within days of their NOA1, others wait two months or longer.

OUR TIMELINE

I am the USC, husband is adjusting from B2.

08.06.2010 - Sent off I-485
08.25.2010 - NOA hard copies received (x4), case status available online: 765, 131, 130.
10.15.2010 - RFE received: need 2 additional photos for AP.
10.18.2010 - RFE response sent certified mail
10.21.2010 - Service request placed for biometrics
10.25.2010 - RFE received per USCIS
10.26.2010 - Text/email received - AP approved!
10.28.2010 - Biometrics appointment received, dated 10/22 - set for 11/19 @ 3:00 PM
11.01.2010 - Successful biometrics walk-in @ 9:45 AM; EAD card sent for production text/email @ 2:47 PM! I-485 case status now available online.
11.04.2010 - Text/Email (2nd) - EAD card sent for production
11.08.2010 - Text/Email (3rd) - EAD approved

They send a NOA1 for each application each with a different case #. How quick you get a bio appointment depends on if there is room for appointments at your local fingerprint office. - there is no set time.

I saw in yr timeline that all 3 of your NOA1 were apporoved on the same day . I only received 1 NOA1 so far (I-485) . Does that mean that the 2 others were not appoved as yet or they did not send out the NOA1 as yet for the other 2 (I-765, and I-131)? I am hoping to receive them soon . Thanks .

The NOA1 isn't an "approval" of anything, it's just an acceptance of the paperwork - a receipt if you will. You may just not have received the NOA1s for the other papers yet, or there could be an error in how you filled them out/sent them that would cause them to be rejected, but even then you'd get a rejection notice. Did you mail everything in one package, or separately?

I mailed them all in one package but had them separated by paper clips with all the supporting documentation . I did not receive any RFE for the two others . I am aware that the NOA1 is a letter of acceptance . I have been down this journey for my Fiancee. I will give it a week more then call .

Hi guys , I checked on my previous text messages and emails .I received 3 texts for my 3 petitions and emails for that day (sept 12).I thought that were the same until I checked the numbers - they had separate Nos . But I only received 1- NOA1 hard copy in the mail for I-485 . So I am not worried now . At least I know that they received my 3 petitions and is being processed .

Just got my Biometrics appointment notice today, about 2.5 weeks from filing. Check my signature for the dates-- I filed about a week after you.

Btw, I never got my NOA1 for the AOS, just the EAD and AP. I guess it doesn't matter now though. Good luck.

Dec 05, 2011: Received U.S. permanent resident status (AOS based on K-1 visa)

Dec 16, 2013: Removal of conditions on green card

Apr 28, 2015: Became a U.S. Citizen

We received 2 NOA.One for the I-130 and one for the I-485.As for the bios, we filed on July 18th and got bio appt for Aug 24th.Our interview is on Oct 24th.Wish us luck, and good luck to you.
