I really don't think VSC would ask CSC to back off. I think the government just tries to level out the petitions. We are not privy to how many employees are at each location and what priorities they are told to work under. I know, the wait is hard on everyone. I told myself it would take 9 months from start to finish, any time sooner is a bonus.

I would tend to agree with this...I could see the boss saying we need to step it up in a department, but to condone lethargy? Just isn't the American way.

oh yeah? do u mean i can set an schedule for interview w/o the packet /instruction from them?

My understanding is yes, But this would be a good question of its own.

My fiancee is at her medical exam today and we have the interview schedualed in about 2 weeks. We do not have the packet form the Manila consulate yet. My understanding is it is not a problem but you should plan to bring ALL your documentation as they might not have the origionaly submitted info.

I don't see the boss telling them to do nothing, but I can see a boss readjusting the priorities to rebalance output from different offices.
