Crusty Old Perv, thank you for giving your time to read my post ,Let me give you some more explanation so you or other members can help me to understand what is really going on with my wife's case. My wife has already attended her iv interview on DEC 07,2010. She is in AP & retrogression since then. Last month her priority date become current once again. Embassy has contacted her last month to submit her passport and police clearance certificates. Which she did. On September 16, Embassy returned her passport with 221G dated September 14,requesting to submit the passport with the new medical exam report. The letter we received by mail was printed on September 12, two days before 221g was issued for the medical.

I can't tell you anymore than what the letter says. Evidently, there is more to your case than what is stated in the letter. Perhaps someone with a similar experience, or more familiarity with the F-2A visa process can help you. If this letter is unexpected, and you need further clarification, you could always contact the embassy directly for an explanation.

That's the best I can do. Good luck!

I just noticed that. Seems like they copied your old letter, and forgot to change the date. Definitely contact the embassy to get the correct appointment date(s).

Curious . . . why send a letter on Sept. 12, 2011 for an interview on Dec. 7, 2010. Typo?

Thank you members for your responses to my posts. One thing I still do not understand that why they asked her to submit to VFS office her passport along with the new medical exam report on September 14 letter(221g), if they arranged her new interview date on September 12. And now my wife has already submitted her passport and medical on September 20. I have called DOS yesterday to find out that what is going on with our case, they told me last updated they have in the system is that the Embassy has requested her passport and new medical report.

What country is your wife from? What date did she have her first medical? The reason I'm asking is because depending on what country your wife is in will depend on how long her medical is valid for, here in the UK its valid for 12 months.

I knew of people who travelled to the States after 6months of their medical exams. They were delayed at the POE. The Immigration personnel later mandated them to submit new medical report within one month after been delayed for almost 8 hours or more..... it was a serious problem for them. I think your medical exams has expired that is why they are requesting new...

All the best
