Hello. Just to get everything together in advance and for Venezuela it appears that marriage certificates are being asked for? is this for previous marriages that of were ended in divorce? we have all the divorce stuff done but not the previous marriage certs... is this only for the beneficiary or both? Also anyone know if we can jump ahead and do the medical exam things before we get the packed.I see it is good for 6 months? or doesall the paperwork have to reflect a case number that I don't have yet..currently at NOA1

I think you only need statements of divorce for previous marriages. If you were both previously married, you have to both provide statements of divorce. I think you only need marriage certificates for your current marriage (if you are married), not previous marriages.

Although I speak Spanish quite well..I did not do the translations. Hired a professor from a university that has a translator certification that he Included with all docs and all docs had seal on them to prove what was enclosed is what was translated. Cost around $50 to do birth certificate and divorce decree. I think it takes out any question of the translation if a person other than yourself or the beneficiary translate..but that is jut my take on it.
