Hi everyone,

NVC , after resending documents twice, has finally ran out of documents to ask me for and is, and I quote:

"The NVC has received the information you submitted and placed it in your case file. You will be contacted when your petition is sent to the U.S Embassy or Consulate for further processing. "

I don't really understand what that means...

I was under the impression that we were getting our interview date sometime this week. Now I know that isn't the case. How long will this take till we can expect an interview?

*Oh, and should I call the NVC myself, even though I have an attorney who does nothing, and follow up?

You have no timeline so it is hard to give decent information.. You have K-1 as your visa type but as married people can't file a K-1 and the NVC was gathering information I am going to assume you filed an I-130. If your case just recently closed (in the last 10 days) you will not be told of an interview date until probably early November (possibly late October) for a December interview in Bogota.

There are several of us with mid-August completion times at NVC that still have not been given a date so unfortunately don't expect it to be too quick.

If you did file a K-1 (a fiance visa) then you still have a shot at a November interview but you have one more round of paperwork to do.
