Guys/gurus,

Don't know where to start. just plain confused and lost about this petition. I need all the advise i can as i am unemployed and have no money to pay the attorney.

I filed I-130 with a priority date of 2/22/2011.

It was moved around and finally ended up in local office. Five months passed and i started contacting senator and congress representative. On 8/30 got a notice for RFE from filed office Director requesting evidence of bona fide marriage as i have submitted only a marriage certificate.

Submitted following documents:

Personal letter, explaining the culture and events of marriage to the best, explaining family hardship, security concerns, and request to expedite as almost 7 months have been passed.

Family photos of petitioner and beneficiary with notes on the back

Copy of pages of the passport to show entry & exit of the stay with my family from 12/2010 to 03/2011

Doctor & Hospital treatment reports of wife's miscarriage/threatened abortion

Dower Deed in English and Urdu

Life insurance beneficiary document, wife as beneficiary

Wife’s Pakistani identity card copy & English translation with husband’s name

Wife’s Passport copy with husband’s name

Friends/work colleagues testimonies

other docs like phone records and financial couldn't be produced due to prepaid service or using phone cards.

Now the congress rep secretary on 8/30 said, field office Director is going to schedule me for an interview. But instead recived RFE letter. I called her again to followup and she said they ahve recieved my docs but will send me an interview notice. u gotta be f--ing kidding me.

Anyone has been through this. I don't even have more evidences to take with me. Please help me out to understand..

They have but a small amount of time to decide if your marriage is valid and the more evidence you can produce the better the outcome.... You must have some kind of documents from facebook, skype, msn anything showing you email or chat as well... those kinds of things are important to as it shows you talk about your future etc... if you have those take them with you to the interview...

dont be so discouraged remember they are human and they are making a life changing decision and they want to make the right one so the more evidence you can provide the easier you make their decision...

I can understand your frustration with having to prove that you have entered into a bona fide marriage and having someone asking for additional proof. Provide everything and anything that you have to show that you and your spouse have an ongoing marriage. All of the documentation that EAbbas recommended are the kinds of documentation that they want to see. The more documentation that you can obtain, the better. It's better to have more than less. You just never know what the CO is going you for during your interview.

Do not go into the interview feeling frustrated as this may hurt the outcome. Remember, the interview is the final stage on whether or not the visa will be approved.

Good luck my friend.

Thanks guys, these are good points that you mentioned. However, the communication part is the tricky one. Not a lot of people use social networking as we have conservative believes. My main source of communication is phone cards and prepaid cell phone on both sides. I do have testimonies from work colleagues submitted mentioning our daily talking even at work that they can testify. I also voice chat on skype and txt msg on cell. the trouble is that prepaid services call history can't be printed. I can take my cell with me and show whatever saved msgs i have. I thought the legal documents that i have submitted with my name as husband may carry more value. Alos the hospital record of her having a miscarriage is what i thought is pretty solid evidence. Also the exit and entry record on my passport to show of my 3 & half month stay for the sole purpose. I don't have the ticket anymore. Now the part that sux is it is happening after 7 months in the process. I have also requested expedite on the basis of medical and emotional condition especially after the miscarriage.

Try to pull the skype history and print it out.. my husband and i also skype from the time we get home from work (he works nights) until we leave the next morning for work. It should have saved history even if there isnt anything being typed it shows yoru online with her.

As for the expedite you can try but ISL is known for not expediting interview... so be prepared either way for that

Wish you luck!

I am still planning to be there when ISL is doing their process. i feel i have made a mistake not having lawyer done this for me.
