I realize many have aksed simialr questions, but I am still a bit confused as our letter varies a bit from what I have read here recebtly.

Our RFE starts with;

A review of the record indicates that you entered the united states pursuant to a valid K-1/K-2 nonimmigrant visa. However, the authorities where you were admitted or the US Department of state did not forward the medical forms DS-2053, DS-3024, DS-3025 and DS-3026 that were completed prior to visa issuance, OR the record shows that over 12 months of time has transpired since you were medically examined in conjunction with your K-1/K-2 visa entry.

The it says soemthing about new I-693 form followed by a paragraph on Vaccinations.

Does this mean that the entire medical is lost and needs to be re-done?

Please help

Thanks

It means you need a whole new medical--blood tests, tb screening, mental, and immunizations checked again--all of it. Those 4 forms were supposed to be put in the envelope you turned in at POE. Either your embassy didn't put them in or USCIS lost them after you got here. They can't approve you without them so now you do a full I-693, not just immunizations.

Thanks for the feedback...unfortunately, you were right: we even had an Infopass, just to make sure we are not wasting our money doing a full medical again, but we had to in the end. The only lucky thing about it that it didn't cost as much here in Mississippi as it seems to cost elsewhere (ended up paying $79 for the medical, plus other tests).
