AP is taking FOREVER

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if there's anybody who can help me with my question here.

Timeline

F1 student since 2004

05/06/11 Got Married to a US citizen

06/09/11 USCIS received my applications for Change of Status, EAD and AP

June/July-ish USCIS received missing documents requested from me

07/13/11 Biometric Appointment done

07/27/11 OPT ended

09/22/11 Interview Notice, scheduled for 10/25

For my knowledge, most people received their EAD and AP before they even got their interview notice. It's been 3.5 months and I still haven't received my EAD and AP. Normal processing time for AP is 3 months.

I had to postpone my business trip because of this. Any idea why this is happening to me?? :( And will get even get my AP soon?

Thanks!

Time lines are only general guides. Some AP/EAD take shorter times and some a bit longer. If all your papers are in order you will get yours. Just be a bit more patience.

If i'm reading your timeline correctly, your interview is next month. You may not get AP at all and just have to wait for the green card like many others had to.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Thanks for your answers, guys.

It's funny that right after I posted this top, I got an email saying my EAD card is in production. However, still no news of AP. Hopefully soon.

Are you absolutely sure your card does not say "Serves as I-512 Advance Parole? It seems weird it would not be a combo card since according to your timeline, your AP has been approved as well?

Does anyone know if I can leave without AP in hand even though it has been approved (the email notice says so), and have my husband send it??

Thanks in advance!

No you must have the card.
