On the K2 visas for the kids they referenced the parent, one was correct with the parent's first name, middle initial, then last name, but the second one had the middle name then the first initial then the last name.

Correct: Jane N. Doe.

Incorrect: Nancy J. Doe.

Yes it does matter. you should call the 800 # and ask them to fix it. they will send you the correct cards

Call the embassy 1.23 a minute line if you want it changed. They'll need the passport couriered back to them, fix it, and courier it back to her. I do know of a screw up they made where the person didn't have time to wait because of a flight. They agreed if the passport was brought in person, they could could wait around in London and collect it later in the afternoon. Depends on if London is close to your fiance I suppose.
