OK Ok you guys are mucking this all up. Let me see if I can put it into laymans terms for ya.

In The current system we're getting it in both ends at the same time, like taking it in the rear and having to give head at the same time

Some of us get a reach around from the goverment and some of us don't

Some of us don't have to give head at all.

This is obviously unfair.

Why me is in favor of taking the whole thing in the Butt.

The argument is about whether it will be an 8 incher or a 10 incher.

THis is exactly why I am having trouble getting behind this thing.

If it's just included in the price, people don't even realize how much in taxes they are paying.

My tax plan is- forget with holdings, at the end of the year you must write a check for the full amount and send it in.

When people actually write out a CHECK OR HAVE TO TAKE A LOAN TO PAY IT... this will make people more aware of what they are paying.

You could do it as an add-on but it was included to be easier for merchants that collect the tax. In the current system your tax is withheld before you get it, so it is similar.

Another reason it was done this (which is lost on some) is that the CURRENT is the same. Your pay, for example INCLUDES the tax you have to pay. If you are paid $10 per hour, you do not receive $10 per hour because that amount INCLUDES the amount you will pay for income tax, medicare, etc. Quoting the price to INCLUDE the tax is no more deceptive than what we have now and keeps the comparison "apples to apples"

I think the absolutely essential idea is to detach federal revenue from personal and business INCOME and eliminate entirely the "politics" of funding the government.

If all we do is change the political party of the guy in the white house, then you should be worried.

I do not particularly like Cain's 9-9-9 plan becuse it still links 2/3 of the revenue to income, which means nothing but gamesmanship as they decide "what" is income, what is taxable income, who gets a credit (subsidy) who gets a shelter...you name it. Another problem is that the government "knows" how much you make and clearly they do not do reponsible things with this knowledge. But I do apprciate that Herman Cain understands we need FUNDAMENTAL change in the revenue system. Not mealy-mouthed promises and dodges and kiss-arounds.

As we see this week, again, this system needs to be changed before we can even think of doing anything else, it has come to that point. Nothing reamins of our country's revenue system but political games that have threatened to close the government three times this year! We need to make it impossible for that to happen. We MUST detach federal revenue from income in any way. We MUST make the amount of money earned by individuals and businesses SECRET from the government. They only need to know they have funding. They need to know how much tax they collect and nothing else.

If you want to get home building and buying back on track...FAIR TAX! It will put billions in banks HERE instead of elsewhere, it will create millions of jobs HERE, instead of elsewhere. People will have jobs and lending institutions will have money to lend.
