Hey can anyone help me out i don't really know how to use the

visa bulletin my priority date is March 22th 2011 could someone

please tell me when it's gonna be current?

3/21/2011 - I-130 mailed

3/22/2011 - I-130 receipt date

6/22/2011 - I-130 approved

7/11/2011 - I-485,I-765 mailed

7/12/2011 - I-485,I-765 receipt date

7/20/2011 - Biometrics Appointment & RFE revceived

8/05/2011 - mail RFE evidence requested

8/10/2011 - status change to Request for Evidence Response Review

8/10/2011 - Fingerprint Appointment done

September 10, 2009: Arrived for first meeting in-person!
June 17, 2010: Arrived for second in-person meeting and start of travel together to other areas of China!

September 1, 2010: Switched course from K1 to CR-1
December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

so yea i am the beneficiary and my wife is a U.S. Citizen

she's filing on my behalf!

Thanks for clarifying.

You don't need to worry about whether or not your priority date being current or the visa bulletin because spouses of US Citizens is not numerically limited category, a visa is always available. Since your wife is a USC filing a spousal visa petition on your behalf, the priority date in your case just marks the official start of the process.

if she is filing the I-485, then priority date is meaningless, as yer already here, filing for adjustment of status and not any visa.

Might want to check in with the Adjustment of status forums, fill out yer profile completely, fill in yer timeline completely, as well.

Posting in the K-3 forum when yer not chasing a K-3 visa is really not the right way to get any question answered - each forum and sub forum has it's own 'subject matter experts' that can give you pointed answers.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Generally correct. However, a better way of stating it would be this way: The priority date determines when a visa becomes available for visa categories subject to numerical limitations. For visas not subject to numerical limitation, the priority date is the date the case officially enters the system.

The answer has been given in this thread already. It establishes your spouse's place in line. If you become a citizen before her priority date becomes current, that date will become meaningless.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
