That's awesome! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm not sure if I feel better or not that the USCIS website can't be followed! :wow: I must check that thing 3 times a day every day! :lol:

Congrats on your NOA-2.

Why would you give up. According to your timeline it only took you 116 days in the VSC. This is not bad at all and actually pretty good timing.

Unless you expect like CSC in 60 days, sorry not in Vermont.

He was having a hard time at home...that's why.

And thank you everyone!! I'm hoping the rest will fall in place~

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

After almost giving up (literally) we were approved. It still says "initial review" online, but I have a hard copy dated sept 19th. :thumbs:

All you had to do was step away from here and not pay attention a second and Wala! there is noa 2 ;)

Oh really?? I need to stop checking that website! :bonk:

It can go either way. It can say initial review or pending for years after you get the visa like what happened with Karee or they can update the website as being approved when they approve it like what happened with me. I think every case seems to be different.

AOS Journey

11-04-2011 sent AOS to Chicago lockbox

11-07-2011 delivered

11-08-2011 Date on text messages but did not receive until 11-22-2011

11-23-2011 Check cashed.

11-25-2011 Hard copies of NOA1s

12-06-2012 Pui's Brother unexpectly passes away and we make an info pass appointment and receive an emergancy AP so she can return home. Pui leaves for Thailand for 2 weeks.

12-06-2012 Get a text message and email that she received an RFE

12-12-2012 RFE for original birth certificate. I swear we sent it along with a certificate translation of it.

12-20-2012 Pui returns from Thailand.

12-21-2012 We send the RFE back for with original birth certificate along with a new certificate of translation(I had to wait for her to return for her to sign)

12-26-2012 text and email they have received the RFE.

12-29-2012 Appointment for biometrics is 01-23-2012

01-13-2012 AP is approved.

01-23-2012 Biometrics appointment. Later during the evening the text and email saying the EAD is approved.

01-31-2012 EAD/AP combo card arrives.

05-22-2012 Email and text card is in production!

Nope, I checked it just now and it still says "initial review." The lady on the phone said sometimes they don't feel like updating it. -_____-" Whatever that means.

wow that's obnoxious of her. As long as you have the NOA2 hardcopy that's all that matters.

Congratulations on your first Step Success i also got my Petition Approved on September 15 if you want to be

Notified when you are Approved you need to sign up with USCIS Website an account in which you have to give your

US citizen phone number and your Email i was at work i didn't know i was approved my fiancee got a text and

then i checked online the USCIS website it said Approved now waiting on NVC to receive my Papers i called three

different times they are saying give us 15 Working days so far it's been a week hope things are going to be

there timely Manner

Its odd how it all worked out for me. Noa 2 came 5 days after they actually approved it, so I guess that is normal. But, then the hard copy came within 2 days and by the time I started really getting ready to check NVC I only called 3 times/days before I was told it arrived and was also forwarded to my embassy. I had to call back again later that day to double check I wasn't hearing things lol, because just earlier that same day a rude lady told me the she was going to half up on me if I couldn't read her my number within 30 seconds, and she did :( And before that I got the standard wait 15 business days to call speech.

Anyway, I don't know if changing the way I pressed the buttons worke or not (at first I just waited for them to connect to call center, finally I pressed I think 2?). But to make a long story short lol mine was gone in 1 day and when I asked the guy that told me the second time him said it happens and it depends lol whatever that means. So your long answer...they seem to be on schedule, but like that guy said... it depends :wacko:

I guess you should have it at NVC before October gets here and out...IDK But you guys are ready after that off to embassy and you should track it once you have that case number all the way to Thai Embassy. Its all down hill from here ;)
