We just got our AOS interview approved recently. We are so happy that we are finally together. Hence, we would like to share our experience with others.

Our AOS interview went very smoothly. The officer is really professional. She called my name, and we came to her office. She barely smiled, to be exact, she never smiled at us, which made us really nervous at first. However, she don't ask us trick questions. She asked each of us a set of identification questions such as my name, DOB, place of birth, address,... very basic info. Then she asked my wife on how we met, when, and when we decided to get married.

Then she asked us for more evidences. Finally, she told us to leave and wait for them to mail the decision within 30 days. We are so happy to get this done. We just so worry that we won't be together. Now, we are so happy now.

To your reference, this is my application time line, good luck to all others:

2009: First meeting.

June 14th, 2011: get married.

June 30th, 2011: all 4 applications submitted.

July 15, 2011: NOA received in the mail.

July 18, 2011: Biometrics appt letter in the mail.

August 10, 2011: Biometrics done.

August 22, 2011: AOS interview appt in the mail.

Sep 22, 2011: AOS interview - GC approved.

Hope you all of luck.

Where you actually approved? You didn't say she told you you were approved, just that you would receive a decision in 30 days.

Yea, were you approved? I don't want to make you upset, just the fact that you got to the interview is awesome news! But come back to ground for a bit. Try to recall what she said. Did she say your GC should arrive in 30 days? Or, did she say they would mail you a decision?
