So, here we are . . .

Our petition was originaly sent off to CSC, we were so happy, no interview. No such luck. We got bumped back to Lees Summit and our interview is next Friday. I basicaly have nothing. :(

I applied for my SSN early Aug. when I got my EAD. I screwed up on the initial application, last names didnt match. Anywhoo, my SSN actualy showed up yesterday in the mail. lol

So heres the thing, we went several months ago for AT&T Uverse, they wouldnt take my information because I had no SSN, and therefore they couldnt do a credit check on me. We had tried to get me a cell phone, again, no SSN, no cell phone. Needless to say, my name is on NONE of the bills.

As for lease/rent papers, we live in one of his parents houses for free. No rental agreement.

The only thing we do have, is me added to his bank account, and joint vehicle insurance when he added me onto his. Thats really it. I was able to get phone records, but we more use the cell phone ( his dad has me on the family plan - but its just a phone number, no name ) to cell phone, rather than land line to cell phone, so even though it shows he calls me at least once a week from work, its usualy no more than a five minute conversation. The records do go back to May though.

I broke my camera last February before I got here, and just kinda let that go, so any pictures are taken by someone else . . . I have alot of our wedding day, but only 3 or 4 more since then.

Im a worrier by nature, I guess my question is more ... in the amount of time that Ive been here ... 6 months, and the amount of time Ive had my EAD, 7 weeks, and my SSN 1 day, how much do they really expect at this point paperwise ?

Oh, and does anyone else have their interview in Irving next Friday ?

We all would have been very surprised if you hadn't had an interview. It's a requirement for the process.

Irving is a good place to interview. My wife and I did ours there in August. The people are nice, the facility is clean and professional. Your letter should say how early you are to arrive...plan to wait past your scheduled time by 15-45 minutes.

Read the reviews about the Dallas/Irving office on here.

Care,

Bill

You wrong the interview is not a requirement and a lot of people do get pass without interview. I would say more without than with.

Hi

We have our interview in Irving to last November , we have a really nice lady , but thats depend , for what i read who officer you have . About the papers you have , about the pictures don't worry , they don't care to much about that , is really easy to take 2000 pictures in a couple of days , even put a christmas tree in July , so they don't care to much about pictures . I know that they care a lot about financial things , like money in the bank . I talk a couple of years ago with a retired IO oficer , and he told me that they look more in financial stuff ,becouse you know everything is about money . They think if you share your money with somebody like your wife or husband is real . So try to get things like that . I hope this help you . Good luck :)

Bank accounts, firstly, are VERY good.

Photos are also good. Doesn't matter who took them.

You could also get affidavits from friends and family. Such as one from your parents stating you both live there and pay rent or whatever. That they have the bills in their name and you both pay them.

Do you have Wills made up with each other as beneficiaries?

What about health insurance?

Do you have a drivers licence showing joint addresses?

You said you have car insurance in joint names. That's good.

You can show photos from friends events (not just your events to show you attended together). One member suggested printing photo from facebook with friends comments.

You probably have more than you realise.

Thank you ... Im a little more than a little worried with the lack of sufficent documentation.

I know for the K1 my evidence book was 12 pounds, they never looked either. I wouldnt of wanted to go through it either, it was almost home time for them anyways. But this one is first thing in the morning ... I really hope my IO is a happy morning person.

Ive been reading up on the reviews for the place, seems if were out in less than 20 mintues were good to go.

As for the money thing, I just got my EAD early August, and my SSN showed up yesterday. LOL

My husband has been supporting me, and the bank account reflects that. hahahaha

The bank account at that time was more a fluke. I needed to exchange Canadian money into American, but they wouldnt let me because I didnt have an account at the bank. So he just added me on. It was in my previous name until this month though, because the bank wouldnt change it to my married name without photo ID. That photo ID was the EAD. So we had to wait.

Im getting some letters from mutual friends, but with the small time frame, that doesnt leave alot. I heard not to get them notarised though, because all the notary stamp really proved is that this person said these words on this day. So the letters I do have have names, addresses, and contact numbers. Ive been lucky there though, one is from a teacher of 25 years, and the other a dental hygenist. So I figured just their jobs gave it alot of vaility. I havent asked any family members for letters though. I had read that they dont hold much weight as family would be willing to lie for each other, while someone with nothing to lose or invest is impartial and therefore their words have more merit.

No wills, no health insurance. Weve only been married a little over 5 months. >.<

Im not allowed a drivers license, as I have nothing from immigration allowing me to live here for over 12 months. And I checked when I got my EAD, that document isnt accepted for a drivers license. Im still driving on my Alberta License.

I was going to start on the facebook tonight, but I broke the printer. lol
