I got an email today saying that my case was complete and that we will be notified of an interview date and just wondering if anyone has any advice on how long it will take? our case was processed electronically.

Shouldn't be too long... anything from 2 weeks to 1 month usually.

I got my GC based on an F2B which later converted to an F2A. It took close to 10yrs during which I tried applying for the DV unsuccessfully. My GF who is a first time applicant got selected for DV2015! We're keeping our fingers crossed.

Grats on the CC! For Canadians, it's usually two weeks or so to get an interview date scheduled. The actual interview is usually on average two months from case complete, so for yourself, it should be around the end of November.

Good luck! Hope you find out soon!

we filed for the I-130 in october 2010 that was accepted in january 2011. We got our case number from the NVC on feb. 9 and have been working on it since then. but we could have had the case completed back in june already but they kept sending us RFE so we had to send them missing information 3 times.

Thanks!!

Unfortunately, there's a backlog at Cairo right now, and last I checked, it's about 6 months from case complete to interview, so, unfortunately, you probably won't hear about anything until the next year. You should check this thread out: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/315664-nvc-cairo-embassy-ir-1cr-1/page__p__4733551#entry4733551

I talked to an operator today and she told me the case was complete and they were unable to book an october appointment and so i was wondering if they are going to book the appointment or if i am going to have to do it? should i continue to call the nvc to ask about an appointment date?

Don't worry, NVC will eventually schedule it. Only K-1 Canadians schedule their own interview. Just keep calling every single day. You should find out your interview date soon! :)
