When I still lived in Canada Shrove Tuesday in Ontario was increasingly also known as Paczki Day. Even Tim Horton's would make Paczkis - kind of like a big Polish doughnut filled with a variety of traditional cream fillings and rolled in powdered sugar - definitely a diabetics nightmare, hehehe! I have had a bite of one but never dared to eat a whole one - with my insulin dependency that would indeed have been a death sentence!

Me too, but I love the things! I have to jab myself with a few units of Novolog right after. Alla shakes her head and says doctors in this country just want to sell insulin.
