Only update ive gotten is congressman got a reply saying normal processing and no time for completion and then yestday my husband called DOS and asked if the FBI report was finalized and she actually answered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She said no not yet but they are working on that....

so at least we know we are definitely in name checks but the amount of time it takes depends on when it was sent/logged in etc... but we don tknow any of that... its 5 months this coming week and im dying a little each day....

Don't let being in AP ruin your marriage. It's hard and it's stressful but it will end someday. My husband and I talk by phone twice a day and on web cam twice a day. We have our good days where we laugh together and other days when we are sad AP is taking so long. The key is not to take it out on each other.

There are no updates on our case. My congressman is trying to get a response to emails he's sent to the embassy.

You're lucky. I called today and got my usual "Pending" which just ruins my whole day. I asked the same thing and she said "Ma'am we can't discuss that"

Other than that- I have a daughter and I work and I live with my mother who I don't get along with AT ALL, so I don't get time to speak to him like I used to-

So many misunderstandings and i'm so stressed taking care of her alone. I don't know what will happen to us if this takes any longer.

All I got on Tuesday was pending review of documents to see if he is eligible for visa.. and he said without me asking that all our case is at the embassy nothing is in usa.. to call back friday or monday for updates.

Idk if that means our washington name checks are completed and they are putting the case altogether and reviewing... i asked if it was final review and all he said was he couldnt see that.. its just pending review..

So who knows if we are still in the mandatory ap checks or if thats completed... its 5 1/2 months now and im just wanting this finished...

Hopefully that means the beginning of the end of this waiting. Have you already been through all the other namechecks?

I e-mailed them yesterday asking for the case to be stopped. Do they stop your pending Visa process if requested via e-mail or do they ignore it? I'm assuming they don't take it seriously unless it's done by the beneficiary or by writing or some formal thing. Right? I did it out of anger and now i'm a little nervous.

I'm just sick of all of this and can't take it anymore.

applied for CR1 visa, interviewed back in May 2010, till then case is under AP...... never did anything wrong.. still facing this crisis.. So guys before you cry think of me.. :)

well your not the only one waiting that long.. CArolyn has almost a year on you... she filed hers in Sept 2009

We are all in this together... one persons ap is not anymore important than anothers... and quite frankly NONE of us know the exact reasons we are there... we may THINK we know but we may never truly know.

All we were told was we had a review of docs right after interview bcos we had to resubmit some docs.. then we were told we were fine and he is being put into name checks which he had mandatory ap so we figured prob thru the big checks not just fbi checks but washington checks now we are told normal processing and review of docs that nothing is in usa its all at embassy

nobody can say when it will end, why its happening, and each and every case is different...

So like i said we are all in this together and will give as much support to the person just getting AP that we give the the ones like carolyn still waiting 2 yrs after filing...

So welcome to our group.. and fill in your timeline so ppl can know what all you've gone thru during this process..

I called the other day after emailing the embassy the last few days in december getting the typical canned response back. I started crying on the phone with her and she said listen.. your already done with 6.5 months its really close for you.. it looks like there were several updates the last couple of days in December so i asked if there was more than one as she wouldnt tell me what they were. She said yes def more than one...so i know now they must be working on our case since i know one of them can be ruled out due to the email response from them. So what were the others? I wish i knew... but we're both feeling confident its closing soon... At least we are praying really hard it will.. Inshallah!!

I know it is hard and patience does pay off. We are waiting for answers too. Thank God I am able to travel and wouldn't be much of a problem.

I find it funny that they are being strict on letting anyone come into America but many sham couples made it in. Funny huh?
