Okay, so it looks like we may have an interview hurdle to jump. What I wanted to ask is how important is it for my USC spouse to attend the interview. He had taken a month off from work for medical reasons, and we are not sure whether or not he will get another day off from work this year.

If you have an interview, then he must attend. It would be helpful to update your profile so people don't ask if you arrived on a F-1 visa.

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package

Are you talking AOS interview? Then you both need to be there.
