If your father has an album with baby pics of you, there's nothing stopping him from showing those to guests either. You have never had control over things that weren't under your ownership, why would it be any different in Facebook?

At least my parents have fewer guests than my dad has friends on facebook. Not to mention that those guests can't copy or take those photos home with them. Oh, and I'm fairly certain my dad's privacy settings allow more than simply his friends to view his photos.

I'm not sure if this is the case any more, but at one stage the media were permitted to use facebook photos so long as they were made public. There was one horrific traffic incident in the UK in which four teenagers died (not their fault, btw). The tabloids pulled photos from the teenagers' friends' profiles, and of course the photos selected were pretty terrible... could they not have asked the families for semi-decent shots? I felt really sorry for the deceased.

This is the worst! I have my privacy settings set to the highest setting, but it still doesn't prevent anyone from being able to see photos of me that my friends/father post. They just can't view them through my profile.

Uuugh.
