That's exactly what happened with me. It actually updated again today for the 3rd time, but no one (I know of) contacted them about my case.

I dont know then! It might me different for everyone! But most of my updates were after an inquiry was done, except for the first update which was 2 months after his interview and I know it wasn't because of any congressional inquiry.

@Ainsn

Have they kept ur husband passport? Did he signed DS 230 part || at the embassy? Thanks.

Yup, they kept his passport and he signed DS230 part II. Is that standard procedure, or a sign that we're close to being in the clear?

Well, it means interview is successful & visa officer is ok with all the docs. I've done the same in march. I'm in ap since last 16 weeks.

I don't understand what they are reviewing this point since they didn't ask for any extra documentation at the interview and they kept the passport and made my husband sign DS230 part II. Why couldn't they have investigated us/done their background checks before the interview?! This whole AP thing is too vague for me to take seriously. They probably don't do anything expect let the case sit and hope we decide we don't want the visa anymore, because if there were any red flags, someone would have noticed by now, don't you think?

@Ainsn

It's really frustrating as no one knows how long it'll take. No idea what they do behind the scene of AP. Nothing much we can do apart from waiting & praying. It's a test of patience.

Does anyone (specially male) has got visa who had interviewed in January or February 2013?

There were 4 people interviewed prior to my turn, and i saw one guy (Don't know his category of visa) came out with a white token, instructing to collect visa the later day at 2pm! So they are issuing visas, at least sometimes!

I used to think, immigration visa applicants are less in number than the other category applicants, but i guess i'm wrong, the day i was interviewed, those 3 long benches were full of immigration visa applicants ( Most of them were with family members) and were interviewed at one specific window only. All the other windows were calling Non-immigrant applicants for interview. The outer waiting room were also full with B1/B2 and students visa applicants! I think its literally huge work load for them to handle! Just sharing.
