I have a question about proof of ongoing relationship for K-1 interview.

Here is what I have

1. Google chats

2. Skype logs

3. Calling Cards - I am using calling cards to call my fiancee, and talk to her at least twice a day. Unfortunately calling cards don't track the number you call as there is no billing nothing. Is just reciepts will suffice? Or what should I do?

Any other suggestions please.

they wont checked it for sure but its good to be prepared.. mine took 3 minutes during my interview and they just ask few questions and the consul ask some photos of me and my fiance together.. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey! I wait the call or email from US embassy in Romania to find when my interview is... I am almost done with all the evidence of relationship so i thought i can say what i have maybe it will help others. We talk every single day online in writing via yahoo messenger (from phone or computer) and by videocall, we sent each other emails, not even one normal mail and we talked time to time and sent text on phone. I made printscreen of message archive and call history (yahoo messenger) so they can see we talk daily, printscreen with exemples of our talks and i also made for every month, using copy/paste, some exemples of our talks and print it out. I also made printscreen with the emails sent/received so they can see we used that also every month and printscreen with some emails, the one i thought are important and with diffrent subject. We have also the history of our phone calls. About the photos i made one album with few pictures of us,my fiance and my parents, us and my girlfriends, on every photo, down, i placed a piece of paper where i wrote the date and place and also some words who tell our story - for exemple, we spent togheter valentine's day so on the pic i wrote "celebrating our love on valentin's day". We have copies with my finace passport showing the stamps with the dates he came to visit me (2 times only), bording pass, prints with the confirmation of the tickets, prints with the confirmation my baby bought my engagement ring and the appraisal, warranty certificate of the ring. He sent my ring by courier and we have the proof of that too lol.

Well i think that is all, hope i did not forgot anything and i helped! Good luck to everyone on theirs journey. :luv:

My fiancee is in Ukraine, so Magicjack will not work for me.

Your fiancee is the one that should use Magicjack, not you since it's auto country code is 1. Have the magicjack set to your area code so you can call her for free for as long as you want. she can call you on your cell, home phone, whoever in the US. Unlike with Skype that you have to be in front of the computer to talk. Have her capture the screenshot, send it to you by email or she can make her own copy for the interview- whatever works.

I highly suggest magic jack, it saves a ton of money.

Either they're lazy (who knows, you may have been the 50th applicant for the day- just a thought) or already convinced enough to not scrutinize you.

why do you not buy Skype credit?. I use Skype credit to call my bf use unlimited plan and it has history on account where, when, how long I call him.

Not every country have unlimited plan. Unfortuantely Ukraine doesn't. So I would rather stay with calling card, especially since I found a way to get a call logs.

Thanks

oh, I see. Never knew about that. But, good thing you have found a way for it.. There is also 'pay as go' too on Skype, but way more expensive rather than unlimited plan especially when I called him for many hours. Unlimited plan I chose to call him without worried about minutes run out.

why dont you use skype to make all your call. you can get a skype to go number which will allow you to make calls from your cell/land phone at skype rates. you can get your call logs when you use skype to go number. you can also use an application that can get you all your call logs from skype. i think skype is cheaper and more convenient.

Charley, Jarta can you help me with how to use skype to get the call logs?I have the skype to go number but I am not sure how to get the call logs correctly.can anyone help?

Download the skype first, there will be a record of your calls there (if you're using it) then make screenshots. You can also make a screenshots while on the chat. Depending on your keyboard, Press ALT+Print or PrtSc, paste it to Paint save as JPEG.

I'm getting the impression from other posts on this site that the US citizen escorting their fiance to the interview, even if they are not allowed in, also goes a long way in establishing a continuing relationship.
This impression is highly accurate. It can mean the difference between a granted visa and a 221g or an outright refusal.
Of course that means time off and sometimes significant travel costs.
The investment of that time and money now can save double or triple of the same later.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Skype rates to call Ukraine are really expensive. So I am trying to get a call log from the calling card, or will switch to another one that will get me the log for sure.

Try PennyTalk (pennytalk.com). Their Ukraine rates are listed to 13c to land line and 15 to mobile (per minute that is). They also have something called 'Savorites' that get you an additional 10% off and get you a local US number that connects to the foreign number directly. They keep logs you can access (but only for 90 days I think) easily.

Might consider giving her a debit card so she can use it for her exam, train tickets, photos for documents etc. We did and took copies of the bank statements to the interview. They didn't really spend much time on this portion of the evidence, perhaps one item filled their need. We also left the card with her parents so we can continue to help them from time to time and the bank only charges us $1.20 per transaction.

I call to Tonga, I don't know any other countries rates but this website is the ONLY calling card with decent rates for me. It is $0.36 for me on Pingo. The only other thing that even comes close is google voice at $0.40. They do billing history, call logs and everything. No connection fees or anything else. Just prepay and call. Worth checking out!

we sent

1) emails from both of us...

2) snapshots in skype and print out history

3) evidence of his 3 different trips to me (air tickets, couple photos, receipts)

4) skype call, rabtel call history

5) B'day cards by mail (we only hav 2 card)

In my K1 visa interview, the officer didn't ask any evidence about our relationship even I prepared for that. It might be more than enough I think. So, I just wanna suggest you to send every necessary evidence when you fill I-129F to avoid RFE.

____________

I hear ya, Max.

Here's what I did:

On the petition I sent in July this year, I DID NOT INCLUDE calling records.

I also use a calling card.

And I can print out ONLY THE PAST 3 MONTHS' CALLS.

I think when I did this 4 years ago, they were making available ALOT MORE THAN THAT.

So, back then, I included the calling records

My case was very clean 4 years ago, and that was even with her bringing 2 boys under 21 years of age.

2 minute interview, and it was done.

Everything was also very clean, when I asked her to return to her counrty of origin, done 'on time', etc. No Problems.

This case I filed in July this year is also pretty much what I'd call squeaky clean.

Plenty of other evidence is there, and very well organized.

I imagine they could send me a nasty lil RFE, for phone records.

But, because of your reasoning, I'm hoping the other overwhelming evidence will be sufficient and that I'll be getting

an NOA2 in the mail here, any day now.

So, you are not alone in that regard.

Neither time did I include printouts of any instant messaging.
