That is a sweet, sweet ride.

It is great! I am glad he saved his money and bought a good car. It is a bit scary fast, but he seems a very responsible driver.

This afternoon we are going to go to buy winter tires and rims to protect his aluminum wheels from dastardly road salt!

I hope he lets me drive it sometimes. :P

And they wonder why we love RUB women!

No one, except other men married to RUB women, ever believe us! It is a cross to bear. :P

Yes, such a tough burden to marry a RUB woman. Even though we all talk in glowing terms of our wives, it doesn't seem to penetrate the thick skull of the average single American man. They still don't believe they can do better.

Because, believe it or not, there are women that don't like a stick. They like having a car, they like someone paying their insurance and buying them fuel, but they don't enjoy operating the stick.

RUB women, on the other hand, would find a car with a stick if they didn't have one. They may have two or three cars, but at least one of them is going to have a stick that they enjoy driving.

I've been looking for a few weeks now. About that time.

It's hard, but someone has to do it.

I often ask, "When your girlfriend and her friends are hanging out around the house, do they wear pants?"

They never believe me that I have half-naked women running around all the time.

 Half naked? Alla is nearly always naked until she is ready to go out of the house. If the boys are around she will wear a short robe and nothing else. It is not true that they dress up to vacuum, they get naked to vacuum.

From the moment I landed in Odessa I thought "no one is ever going to believe me when I tell them this. Yes, wait, the other guys that worked here will believe me, THIS is what they were talking about when they said I would like it"

I'll never forget a conversation I had with one of the old sergeants when I told him I was headed to Korea. He told me about the sights and what to expect at work and what it would be like being in that culture and then he stopped mid-sentence and asked, "are you married?" I said no. He replied, "well, that's a good thing because there are Russians there now. You're going to like them!"

I got a similar talk. "Are you married?" No. "Oh, you are going to like Odessa" another said "Oh, you got the Odessa job?" Yes. "Ever been there?" No. "You're gonna like it"

On my way there I had a layover in Prague. The Czech girls are nothing to sneeze at! But as I waited to board the plane to Odessa three smokinhotnikovas came and sat across from me in the waiting area. They were holding Ukraine passports :o #######!!!!!!!! I just had no clue. :wow:

I've seen a few "movies" from Prague. Definitely the other place I'd go to if I had a little time to waste.

Now that my stepson has moved out of town for school, I'm beginning to enjoy the casual attire around the house.  She really surprised me Friday after work. We ended up going out to dinner pretty late.

Our kitchen is our entryway so we're allowed to wear shoes in that room.

In our house the entry way is the entry way. Alla opens the door and STOPS and takes off her shoes and puts on her topachki right there! If you are behind her and it is raining on your head, who cares? Actually we usually come in through the garage and you can stand behind her in the garage.

She says she can wear heels in the house because

1. The shoes are clean

2. she washes the floors

3. It is sexy.

4. There is a double standard

When she first arrived, my wife was always stopping to adjust something before entering or exiting a door. I wish I had a dollar for every time I ran into her because she'd just stop. Doing it at the supermarket was the worst because she'd stop and I'd run into her then someone would run me over with their cart.

"You can't just stop in the doorway at a supermarket. Someone will run over you."

"I will be do my way."

She says she can wear heels in the house because

Those same rules exist in our house as well.

I have no less than 16 products in my shower and who knows how many on my shelf behind the toilet. Guess how many of them are mine?
