After sworn in the consulate officer said "everything looks in order"...We were releived. He said to wait and window 72 would give us our final instructions. They handed my fiancee at window 72 a MNL-IV-22 white FORM with a check next to the words, WAIT UNTIL YOU HERE FROM US:

The top states "We are unable to complete the processing of your immigrant visa application under section 221(g) until you present the following documents:

No documents are checked. Has anyone received or have knowledge of this document?

We did not know anything about "Document Verification". None of the instructions mentioned this was required. Does this have anything to do with this?

What does it mean? The agent at window 72 did not give us any information.

Now we are pretty worried...the process has not been smooth. Can anyone give us some insight please?

Thank you

Francois

Your situation is the same as mine. I was interviewed last May 13, 2011 and was refused to issue a visa and was given a white paper (221g) and until now Im still waiting. No document needed but they only checked the box "Wait till I can hear from them". I dont want to discourage you, Just be strong and maybe prepare yourself as well. WE have different cases, some cases will take long time and some case will take only short time then APPROVE. Just keep strong and hold on to each other. And dont forget to email the embassy once or twice a week to inquire about your case. Good luck to all of us. Hope we will receive our VISA APPROVAL soon.

Yeah, its been four months passed but I dont know if this will keep going till it reaches 1 year. But still hoping it wont reach that long, me and my fiance really need a decision from the embassy because we are planning to get married here in the philippines. I emailed the embassy and asked if we can get a chance to have a second interview but until now no good news from them.

I think you are knowledgable enough to know that if you get married in the Philippines your K1 will be abandoned, and you will have to start all over again with the CR1, if you are planning to bring your bride to the USA, unless there is something about this that I don't understand, which is entirely possible. I think you can travel to the USA on the K1, get married, then file for Advanced Parol, then travel to the Philippines, get married there in a full ceremony, then travel back to the USA, and adjust status. I hope that is correct information?

She must receive the advanced parole before she leaves the U.S., otherwise she won't be allowed back into the U.S.

She can file for advanced parole along with her AOS packet. It does not cost extra. She will receive the advanced parole before she receives her conditional green card.

===========================================================

Passed 9 weeks now...no light. 10 days ago, I hired a lawyer to do something. He sent G28 forms and written request. My fiancee called the embassy yesterday. I called the local number today...they both said they never received the lawyer letter and G28 forms.

Now I considering the Filipino Crab Theory....does anyone know what I am talking about?

My fiancee just got back from the interview and she got a 221(g)and they said just wait to hear from us. Does anyone here knows how long it might take? They kept her passport and said if there is a problem we will call you or wait for your visa.

We are so worried :(

From reading all these cases, I guess getting a 221(g) means AP and which results in more waiting :angry:
